Welcome to TopicKeeper! Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using this extension and related services. By installing or using TopicKeeper, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Description of Service

TopicKeeper is a browser extension designed to help users more effectively manage and organize conversations with AI tools such as ChatGPT and DeepSeek. Key features include:

• Saving important AI conversations into categorized folders
• Quick note-taking and idea capture during conversations
• Auto-generating conversation outlines for quick navigation
• Unified management and search of all the above content

2. User Accounts

Some features require signing in with an account, such as a Google account. You agree to:

• Keep your account credentials secure and not share them with others
• Take responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately if you discover unauthorized use of your account

3. Data & Privacy

TopicKeeper stores your data (folders, notes, etc.) locally on your device and does not upload it to our servers. We are committed to strict privacy protection. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable Use

By using TopicKeeper, you agree not to:

• Use the extension in any unlawful or unauthorized manner
• Attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the extension's code
• Use the extension to interfere with or disrupt third-party platforms (such as ChatGPT or DeepSeek)
• Distribute content containing malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Impersonate others or falsely claim affiliation with TopicKeeper

5. Third-Party Services

TopicKeeper works alongside the following third-party services:

• ChatGPT (OpenAI), DeepSeek, and other AI platforms: your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service
• Google Account Services: used for user authentication and subject to Google's Terms of Service

We are not responsible for the content, availability, or any changes to these third-party services.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to the TopicKeeper extension's code, design, brand identity, and related content belong to the TopicKeeper team. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially use any of these materials without prior written permission.

The intellectual property rights to notes, saved conversations, and other content you create while using the extension remain yours.

7. Disclaimers

TopicKeeper is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Full compatibility with all browser versions or operating systems
• Immunity from disruptions caused by changes to AI platforms

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the TopicKeeper team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, or incidental damages arising from the use or inability to use this service.

8. Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the service at any time
• Restrict accounts that violate these Terms of Service

Users will be notified of significant changes in advance via extension update notes or official website announcements.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of TopicKeeper after an update constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically to stay informed.

10. Subscription and Billing

TopicKeeper Pro is offered as a recurring subscription:

• Billing: Your subscription is billed at the then-current rate (starting at $5/month) at the beginning of each billing period.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings before the next renewal date.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with at least 30 days' prior notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment card details.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. By using TopicKeeper, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.

12. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Service, we encourage you to contact us first at topickeeper@gmail.com so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally. If informal resolution is unsuccessful within 30 days, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or proceedings before a competent court in the applicable jurisdiction.
